Randy has been gifted with a unique association of skill on the keyboards, bass, electric and acoustic guitars. Randy’s compositions combine driving rhythms, sweeping harmony and lyrical melodies. Originally from Colorado, Randy has been playing music his whole life. Starting on piano at age 6 Randy gradually learned Guitar and Bass, eventually going to school to further his arranging and producing skills. Randy has recorded 4 studio CD’s and a live concert DVD with Neal Morse (Spock’s Beard, Transatlantic), all with Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater) on drums as well. He is a member of the Progressive Rock band Ajalon, whose success was realized through Yes keyboard wizard Rick Wakeman on his indie label, Hope Records. Ajalon is currently writing their third CD. In addition to Neal Morse and Ajalon, Randy has worked on stage or in the studio with such artists as Rick Wakeman (Yes), Michael Manring, Phil Keaggy, David Ragsdale (Kansas) and Grammy award winning artist Nancy Rumbel among others. Randy has appeared on recordings with Jordan Rudess (Dream Theater), Steve Hackett (Genesis), Al Morse (Spock’s Beard), Roine Stolt (Flower Kings, Kaipa, and The Tangent), Paul Gilbert (Mr. Big, Racer X) and Adrian Belew (King Crimson). Randy is working on a series of solo releases that will further highlight his skills as a composer and instrumentalist! Check out Randy in the Yes tribute band Parallels.
