Ground Zero was an early nineties band from the Charlotte, NC area. Influenced largely by King’s X and somewhat by the then emerging Alternative scene, they branded their unique sound “Alternative Art Rock.” Doing both originals written by Peter J and cover tunes they played in NC, SC, & GA in their few years together. “Probably the most memorable event we played was a Christian Biker's Pig Pickin’ at a farm north of Charlotte. You haven’t lived until you've been hugged by big gnarly snaggle-toothed tattooed bikers,” remembers Peter J. “They loved our music and we loved their barbecue.”
