Everlasting Arms is the combined musical vision of Jim Martin and Eddie Jerlin. They have taken a spiritual friendship and turned it into music. Their sound is unique, ranging from a very mainstream approach to the progressive meanderings of Eddie Jerlin.

Jim was born in the Bronx, New York City, in 1948. When he was seven years old, his mother died after a long illness. It was in the same year that he was called into ministry.

Eddie was born in Staten Island, New York, in 1964 and has been playing and writing music as long as he can remember. He accepted Jesus as his Savior at a “Good News” club at the age of 8 and it's been quite a faith journey ever since.

Though Eddie's primary axe is piano/keyboards, he also plays drums and bass and recently began teaching himself guitar. His musical influences include The Beatles, Yes, ELP, Genesis, Kansas, Billy Joel, Queen, Neal Morse, and progressive rock in general. He has been in and out of too many bands and musical situations to count, but the most memorable ones are his time with G-FORCE during college, a 3+ year run with Grin & Bare It from 1989 to 1992, a stint with Crossfire and his years playing with the worship band at his current church.

Everlasting Arms believes the music has an integrity of its own beyond the composers, and hope that the songs will be heard and will heal in the name of Jesus Christ. In song, the Word becomes flesh and dwells among us. Their hope is that this music will be a real blessing to all that hear it.
